Hi people. Can anyone give advice? If you look at the photos below, you will see the wood cappings have 2 holes in them. the top one has a threaded nut behind it. There is nothing behind th hole in the centre of the wood. In the photo with the wood removed, you will see an identicle threaded nut at ...

When you take off the old gasket , make sure the surfaces on the block and spin on adaptor are flat and really clean i.e no old gasket bits still stuck on , making an uneven surface.

oil leak at spin on filter housing

Hi people. I have a 2 part query on the go. I have bought an mot'd traveller running project so, at last, having joined the club, I can now proudly display my MMOC sticker! About an hour after returning home from it's first three mile outing, I noticed oil on the driveway (don't we all I hear you sa...

Re: bonnet stay

Thanks for your reply Paul. I have to give mine a shove to help close the bonnet stay too. I understand now what the spring is there for. It just doesn't feel as though it has stretched much in the "bonnet fully open position" to be of any significant use.
Thanks again.

bonnet stay

Hi people. Just fitted a bonnet stay to my traveller project before I gash my head anymore! The stay (bought of ebay)works fine and locks into place. The new spring from Charles Ware seems pretty ineffectual. What purpose does it serve? Can you have a look at the photos please to check that I have f...

Traveller front seats

Hi people. I'm back living in the uk after 5 years in Spain. I am on the hunt for a Traveller. My question is Are the front seats on a traveller the same as a 2 door. There is a traveller on ebay with velour front seats which I would like to change. Any help on seat info (or a traveller for sale?) w...

Re: traveller on autotrader & rear door alignment

Hi Panky. The ad does say doors need doing but I agree the hinges don't look right. Mot'd until 27the Dec 2019 and mot history on dvla says little used since 2013. The foot piller on one side looks bad but the rest? If I knew that with new rear door parts as required and new hinge kits or hinges wou...

traveller on autotrader & rear door alignment

Hi people. Saw this advert on autotrader and quite fancy it as a usable resto. The back doors are well proud of the corner posts though. Is there adjustment that can be done to bring them more into line? Thanks in advance https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-search?make=MORRIS&postcode=pr29ts&ra...

Re: Bonnet up height

Thanks guys. I'm returning from Spain soon after 4 years and I know I have to change the corregated asbestos roof on the garage. I'd like to bring a traveller back to life and thought the bonnet height might have been an issue. Thanks to greendefender for the 65.5 inches measurement and moggiethouab...

Bonnet up height

Hi folks. Could any of you good people tell me the height from the floor to the highest point of the bonnet when the bonnet is in the up or open position please? I have a concrete sectional garage with a standard up and over door. The flat roof tapers from front to back. I want to know if the bonnet...

If you're keen, try this link from the VW club80-90 http://wiki.club8090.co.uk/index.php/Bodywork_and_Glass_Roller_painting on how to roller paint a vehicle I've done a VW T25 van and a series 3 land rover with a fair degree of success.
