Re: Starting (or lack of)
Work through in a logical sequence First - Silly mistakes - Are all the wires connected? Are the HT leads connected in the correct order? Is the rotor arm still sitting on the battery? I do not think that you ought to put petrol near the distributor. Have you checked the points gap? Have you turned...

Re: Starting (or lack of)
As above but I think putting petrol in the distributor might just be a little unwise!!! probably   I don't know what it's called, and it's the first word that came to mind, it's a little thing on the right hand side as you look at the engine, has a tiny little black cover on it. an &quo...

Starting (or lack of)
 Haven't turned her over for about 18 months  , and despite new battery, now refuses to start. Will refresh petrol and put a little bit in through distributor, but any other hints would be gratefully received. At the moment, I've no other way of starting her. (and battery bar doesn't wan...

Re: Minor History
POMMreg has identified current engine as being from a 1970 traveller. I'm going to scout round and see what else I can find.

Re: Things that make you go AAAAARRRRGGGHHH!!!
SUV "drivers" who, having bought the vehicle, have no idea how to operate it on the roads or in a car park. They swerve along gripping the wheel like a drowning man with a lifebelt without a clue as to how wide their vehicle is or how high off the ground. To allow people like this on the ...

Just a Morris?
Do you only have a Morris (of any type), or do you run a modern car (or other form of transport) as well?

Re: 4x4
Thanks Charlie. Loving the Minor van on the Toyota frame that'd do the job. Wish I had the money, know how and time. Love yours too Katy.

was it successful? (series one too small, unless LWB, 130 size would be great)Beanbox wrote:I had a mate put a split screen Moggy on a series one Land Rover chassis in the early 90's ... Don't have a photo unluckly

Re: Things that make you go AAAAARRRRGGGHHH!!!
People who clearly don't know how wide their car is, so drive in the middle of the road. Funny how peoples' attitudes change, depending on what car you have. I still have my Morris 1000, and had an old Toyota Landcruiser (for work/practicality), and am currently using a Nissan Micra. I found myself ...

If there was ever such a beast, what would a 4x4 Morris Minor look like? and has anyone ever "made" one?
