Can anyone advise me as to whether a VIN number for a 1969 2-door saloon (now a convertible) is genuine. I understand the MA2S but then have seven digits starting 512 but understood the production run didn't number that high, and I'm confused.

Just another thought....were the cups welded or as with mine a thru bolt retains them in. I think this is a previous bodge?

Evening all
I have recently acquired a pick up and discovered that a rear leaf spring front mounting pin is waggling about in its transverse tube chassis mounting. Is there a recommended cure for this or just weld it up in situ ?

Anybody got any tales to tell of how they fixed theirs ?

Please could someone tell me if a 1957 pickup has a heater fitted as standard? Have assumed that 1957-64 pickups are all the same, but then began to have second thoughts! Any info would be much appreciated. Many thanks.
