Funny indicators
Hi gang Tested the lights on the Morris for the first time and they worked :) Well sort of Headlights came on and indicators sort of work but if I indicate right for example my right indicator blinks brightly but my left one does dimly and at the back my brake lights seem to blink a bit too haha. Pr...

Radiator Seal
The mog has a leaking radiator at the moment, coming out on bottom left as you look down. I am going to get a new one but for now wanted to seal it up with one of these available products like Rad weld etc. Is there one (product) that you recommend for a short term hold till I get a new one and drai...

Re: Spark Plug/HT leads Question
I am deliberating a bit as once the Morris is in better fettle it will likely be used a couple of times a week to go to work and weekends out as well (Shared time with my other classic that doesn't go out an awful lot). I want to get it out and used to being used again as it has been sat since 2015 ...

Spark Plug/HT leads Question
Hello Gang The moggy is starting at the moment bless her but she has a variety of HT leads attached (various tip lengths). I would like to start getting the old girl in a happier place so I am going to order a new set of leads and a new set of plugs for her and wondered if you have any recommendatio...

Re: Sorry I haven't a clue
Been messing about again today It appears that the car starts a lot better and runs well, even switches off fairly well ...when your not pushing/pulling the heater cable for some choke :D Now I am using the actual choke it does make a difference haha. Lubed up some cabling with a bit of WD40 and als...

Re: Sorry I haven't a clue
Well the old girl has arrived. I was in work when it was delivered so I asked the chap to leave it on the road outside. Well... It starts miraculously after an age of faff, the choke is stuck and once you finally get the car started you have to stall it to get it to stop. The gears are interesting h...

Re: Sorry I haven't a clue
I don't know a great deal.
It was last on the road in 2015 (passed MOT)
Seems to have sat since, needs welding, starts and drives etc.
It is living in a storage box at the moment so out the elements.
I'm expecting a total basket case but soon find out - she arrives Friday...yikes

I have just bought a Morris that looked like it needed saving, I must admit I am VERY novice and this old girl will need a fair bit of work probably but what the heck eh, you only live once :) I'll no doubt be driving you mad with questions for years, sorry :D couldn't leave her to the scrap man. I'...

Save a Moggy? Can a newcomer do it
I am looking at a Morris at the moment and it requires welding (a fair bit) and tidying. I have some basic skills, less now I lost my dad earlier this year but can get by. I can't however weld, I have had a quick go with dad but he got poorly before we could continue my lessons. I have inherited his...

Morris as a daily driver.
I currently drive a modern VW polo as a daily driver - its only a 1.0 I have for many years liked the Morris 1000,the Triumph Herald, The mini and many other classics. I currently have a 1969 Daimler 250 but it would not be practical to use a 2.5 V8 as a daily driver, especially as I drive 40 miles ...
