All the above are good points but have not mention the front spring shackle bolt, it's nut is often easy to undo but the head will have rusted to the retainer which itself is held by 2 bolts to the spring hanger, they probably need lubricating as described above but it can be tricky getting a spanne...

There is no real difference between series II kingpins and 1000 kingpins, so if they are not worn, trunions or kingpin threads, there is no need to change them. Brakes depend on the engine size and if you are increasing power, if still using the original 803cc engine then the original 7" brakes...
