drain plug tap
hi all
does anyone have a axle drain plug tap i can borrow to clean out the threads on an axle I'm building up?
i believe its a 1/2" BSPT ?
i would of course pay for the postage if not local (N-East Scotland)

hi all just fitted a new thermostat housing to by ongoing engine build and the stud seem a bit short ie the nuts with washer go on ok but i would like to see a bit more thread out of the top of the nuts what size /length are the standard ones and are longer ones available ? it dosnt look to bad but with a car that age should it be perfect you would be surprised mate the blue vw had been through car washes and the paint was a right mess the Aston took me about 30hrs to do (was a mates so no rush) this was his pervious aston before DSCF1161.JPG DSCF1162.JPG after DSCF13...

all depends on budget and personal preference
i have polish/ waxes that cost only a few quid up to nearly £100
here is my morris along with the shelves stocked with too much stuff!! lol and here's a couple of 'old bangers ' i did for mates

the box im looking at doesn't have a rev switch set up
and going by the info on the diagram its a 1098 minor box as the shaft number shows?

hi all can anyone give me any info on mg midget gearboxes i have the chance of a mg midget box with an output shaft number 22g171 it has hydraulic clutch which make me believe its defo a midget box unless any knows different am i right in thinking its a 1098 midget box not a 1275(which I'm after) an...
