normal "oil can" oil is SAE 20 such as 3in1 & that is original spec for dampers.

Congrats to Madmog on a superb rally on the hottest day of the year by far - I didn't have a count up but looked a good turnout - a very pleasant venue with lots to see & a good friendly crowd ... oh and a brass band too - excellent.

To remove the interior door handle & window winder Les is correct - all that fastens it is the end screw - its just that as it's been on for so long it has got stuck so more force required to remove.

I did this conversion to mine a few years ago, ESM used to sell a conversion kit containing everything needed - can't find it on their website though.

Quite a few messageboarders won awards at the National - from memory LouiseM won the Jack Daniels award for her sterling efforts with the messageboard Mbo145 & DavidMcCullogh 1st & 2nd in Series 11 Travellers Simmitc (& Angela) 1st in Police Cars & both picked up the Jane Brown memor...

Good grief - with sights like that I'm glad I decided to give the party a miss and stayed in my tent all evening reading my workshop manual.

I sometimes wonder why I bother

It costs a lot of money to stage the National Rally & these costs have to be recouped - in previous years when the rally has been held further North (eg Scunthorpe) of further South (eg Bremore) there has been a low attendance & the rally has lost money.

No problem with turning up un-booked, just pay on the gate - everybody is welcome - you can normally get in from about 0830 ish.
