Re: Traveller - Rust in the rear end
Mark - many thanks for the photos. They certainly help in trying to identify how the rear body is put together. I think the first thing is to see if I can remove the two bolts that go through the floor and then re-access the limits of the damage. I would like very much to see your expert constructio...

Traveller - Rust in the rear end
As part of the process of checking the wood work on my 63 Traveller I have removed the rear bumper and what I believe is called the body panel rear bottom (Workshop Manual R43 Item 8) to see what the wooden frame was like that goes across the back under the rear doors. The wood is OK but the metal b...

Re: Longitudinal Member Assembly repair
Many thanks for the comments. I think I will get an expert to assess the extent of the damage and the type of repair that will be most appropriate.

Longitudinal Member Assembly repair
Please can anybody advise on the implications and possible repair options for rust in a longitudinal member (Workshop manual R36 Item 1 and 2). The rust was not apparent until I remove the gearbox cover. The rust is mainly in the area of tube and reinforcement towards the front of the member. Whilst...

Door Hinge Screws
I have been checking all areas for rust etc on my 1963 Traveller. On removing the left hand door I found one of the main/upper hinge screws has been sheared of flush with the hinge. When removing the other screws I noted that they were contaminated with rust but I was able to remove them without to ...

Re: clutch Pedal Removal
Thank you all for the advice and suggestions. I have now successfully removed the clutch pedal by firstly using mole grips on the spacer (after soaking in penetrating oil) but no joy. I then carefully drilled the spacer, in a number of places, to a depth just to break through too the clutch shaft. F...

Re: clutch Pedal Removal
Thank you for that. I have had a further look and it seems that the brake pedal spacer is 'stuck' to the clutch shaft. I have oiled again and will allow to soak. The main object, apart from getting the master cylinder out, was to clean out the box section, de-rust and apply a protective coat. The ru...

clutch Pedal Removal
I am attempting to remove the clutch pedal/brake pedal as part of gaining access to the brake master cylinder on my MM Traveller 1963. I have successfully achieved getting the brake pedal to move independently from the clutch pedal using WD40. It also has a small of free sideways movement. I have re...
