Hi Chris, the engine is a Peugeot 1.9 dturbo from a 306, and it doesn't mind the odd wee drink of veg oil

Re: Diesel Traveller

Hi matt, welcome, yes, you are one the right route with the xud pug engine and ldv box. I have a 405 1.9 td engine fitted to my van and it goes like fook, I used a FSO 5 speed box with mine, which needed a notch cut out for the steering rack, much the same as the Fiat conversion, I don't know about ...

Re: Diesel Traveller

Did you have to modify the chassis/tunnel/gearbox tunnel Andy to get it all in ?? Will it run on cheap veggy oil ?? I was hoping you would be at East Fortune this year - so I could have a good look at it! Just a chunk out of the bulkhead cross member and much the same as the Fiat conversion  ...

Re: What Engine? If you had the choice..........

Well into the 40's at the mo, but on boost quite a lot, which isn't good for mpg, once I get a 3.54 diff and big tyres, hopefully a good bit more. I have used veg oil/bio diesel, a friend makes bio and it goes well on it, slightly down on power, but a bit quieter engine wise. Stinks like an old chip...

Re: Scottish Branch..RALLY at PEEBLES.
