Re: Door Frame to Door rubber seal
Hi All,
The seal I'm referring to is here between the door metalwork itself and the removable door frame.
Hopefully the image reveals all.
Cheers
Andy.

Door Frame to Door rubber seal
Hi All, I have just been searching for the small rubber seal that goes in between the door frame and the door - you know the bit that folds into the window aperture and that provides a gasket for the frame at the rear of the front doors. I tried making one out of flat rubber but it curves and needs ...

Re: A Bit Depressing
It is a shame but there was one club member locally who had a Minor as his everyday runner, a saloon that was needing a full restoration to make good as it had been patched up for years. No one in their right mind would have given him £2000 for it. The car was a victim of playing the system. Sad but...

Re: chassis guarantee
I'm just rebuilding a car restored by this company.
My air chisel has been cutting out loads of oversills, and my welder has been very busy.
It probably takes 4 years to rot through internally untreated steel - hence the time limit.
Iwsmithy.

The dash to A post strengtheners are easy to get to with a spot welder but the B post strengtheners are not accessible when you convert a saloon so are normally only MIG welded. It sounds to me like the the car has been a convertible for years and you will never know who did or if it were chopped or...

I moved a whole 4 door saloon in the back of a Luton transit. It fitted with the front and rear bumpers removed. The back of the van was 12ft long. It was a little hairy getting it up into the van and once inside I used scaffold planks to ensure the weight was spread over the plywood floor of the va...

When I built mine I lengthened the existing chassis used on the Minor LCV. As you can see from the pic below I shortened the pick up bed, and built an additional set of doors while using a Minor 4 door saloon as the centre pillar. The trickiest part is making the roof section to blend it all togethe...

1275 Tappet clearances
Hello all, I need to reset the tappet clearances on the truck. It has a Midget 1275cc engine with a fast road cam. I once had a photocopy of a Midget workshop manual which told me what to set them to but can't find it anywhere so now do not know what clearances the tappets should be. Can anyone help...

Why don't Specialists tell us!
I bought a new petrol tank for the truck recently, a larger capacity one. I swapped it with the old one today. When I came to refit the sender unit I discover that the new tank needs M4 metric screws to fasten it back in place, I can't use the old imperial screws. Course I haven't got any M4 screws....

I sold my Rotten Van to a film hire company, but was still surprised to see it in an episode of So Graham Norton. A little while later it was on some sort of crime thriller, Trial and Retribution or something like that. It was the killers delivery van. It still had it's original number of RDL 200H.T...

Last Minor I moved I put in the back of a Luton Transit Van. Take the front and rear bumpers off and a Minor is 12 feet long - which made it a snug fit into the van. It meant I could get the car back home on the Isle of Wight Ferry without paying the Ferry firm's extortionate trailer costs. (Mind yo...
