Windscreen rubber.

Folks,

Before I break a screen, is the clearance between the instrument bubble of the dash and the screen mounting lip normally this tight?

Is trimming needed?

Its a 1959 single screen.

Many Thanks Dan.

Re: Rear shelf

Thank you gents, mine's a late 59 car. I may make a board up to see what it looks like.

I'll post some photos in the projects page when i get time.

Rear shelf

Folks,

It's been a long time since I stripped down the Morris and I can't remember what covers the rear parcel shelf behind the seats.

Would anyone be kind enough to post a picture of the rear area!

Many Thanks Dan.

Re: 59 1000 Door aperture.

I've not yet sorted it, kinda ran away and did the drivers sill and boot aperture.

Jacking isn't going to work as you can see the rear panel flexing, so i've done the manly thing and left it for a bit.

Re: 59 1000 Door aperture.

Many Thanks, I'll see where I've gone wrong, but can see a lot of steps backwards coming before progress is made.

Re: 59 1000 Door aperture.

On the drivers side I replaced the Inner and outer sills and both floor pans, but was able to brace it properly.

I think the Chassis points are all related to the under-body and not the outer panels.

It's annoying me as I've done so much so far.

59 1000 Door aperture.

Folks, I've been watching for a while, but this is my first post. I've been restoring a 1959 1000 2 door for a friend, I was able to brace the drivers side door, but there wasn't enough strong material to brace the passengers. Even after careful measuring I've ended up with an aperture that's 4mm to...

Re: Suggested starting point

Cheers Rod, I hadn't realised that the outer part of the sill was removable. WD40 has been applied to the bolts.

Re: Suggested starting point

That was my thought, thankfully the owner has a sentimental attachment and has gotten 90% of the panels and a sheet of steel. How does this sound for a jobs list? Front X-member, Fwd r/h tie plate, Inner wings and sill ends, Fwd r/h chassis leg, R/h spring hanger and r/h rear footwell, L/h spring ha...

Suggested starting point

Greetings All, I've just joined the Forum, after taking on a 1000 restoration for a family friend. I've removed all the wings to see the extent of the rust!! So far, the front r/h Fwd chassis leg is gone to all extent and purposes, The lower front X-member, and r/h tie plate at it's fwd 2". Bot...
