Re: Clarence 2 door 62 saloon

The flitch panel repair you have probably isnt enough if you plan to replace the hinge pillar as well. The flat part of the flitch continues on behind the pillar and then is welded on were the door draught excluder goes on. The repair section you have is more of a cover up type of panel thats welded...

Re: Steering wheel LOWLIGHT

Stevey repaired one for me using Araldite which seems to have worked ok for a few years now. I should have a go at the one on my MM this winter sometime as a couple of the cracks are becoming sharp

Re: Flashing semaphore Led Bulbs

I have them in my Austin 10, makes a big difference to the visibilty of the trafficator especailly at night! I did have one stop working quite soon after purchase and the customer service is very good as he asked me to send back the faulty one and sent me a new pair :D

Re: Best restoration book

Lindsays Porter Restoration Manual is a good option, lots of pictures though quite small and balck and white but gives good detail.

Re: Traveller electric problems

Hi John, I suspect you may have 2 issues here! The wiper and indicators is probably a dirty/corroded fuse connection as well as a battery thats probably a bit low from sitting around. Ive changed to an alternator last winter on my everyday minor as I use a heated back window. For years Ive managed w...

Looks very good! I have a lable like that that explains the bonnet pull. Stevey recreated the lable off the side of the regulator and even the D from deluxe off the bulhead on his car

Re: Morris Minor Series 2 - 803cc engine

Seems an awful lot to me. Have you tried any of the specailist for an exchange engine? This is listed on ESM page so would be well worth contacting them regarding it. http://www.morrisminorspares.com/engine-c14/ohv-engine-c16/engine-block-803cc-reconditioned-exchange-surcharge-8m102sc-applies-shippi...

Re: Rear Lights

The plinths can be very hard to find, as mentioned by palacbear, the bases are aluminum and the bolts steel so they often are heavily corroded. I found a pair for mine in poor condition and Ive never got around to drilling them out and fitting new bolts yet! There was a pair on ebay not so long ago,...

Re: Diagram of fuel pipe run

It comes straight out of the tank for about 4 inches then begins a 45 degree angle up to meet the floor and the clips. It then goes at another 45 towards the tunnel clips, goes over the top of the gearbox crossmember where it should have a bit of rubber pipe covering it, then alongside the gearbox a...

Re: What was your first car?

First car was the minor I still use as my every day car, bought when I was 15 and made ready for the road just after I passed my driving test, still going well 8) I had a succession of other minors as well, most at one point was 6........ I finally bought something different last spring, a 1936 Aust...
