10th September East Midlands Branch Rally - Newstead Abbey

The 2017 East Midlands Branch Rally is being held at the breathtakingly beautiful Newstead Abbey on the 10th September. Re: Vale: Roy Allingham (BMCecosse)

This is very sad news.

I always enjoyed his posts and good humour. A sad loss from this community.
I always think of him when I see a Minor with Peaks, I shall even more so from now on.

My thoughts are with Roy's family at this difficult time.

Re: Classic car snobbery

My plan with those stickers is to get one ... when I have a second Morris. It appeals to my strange (and awful) sense of humour :)

Though I think we may be some years off that dream yet!

Re: Classic car snobbery

A nice addition to my feelings and comments on this: Today my partner Kev drove the Charity car on the East Midlands leg of the marathon from Derby to Leicester. We pulled in to the side of the road at one point and a gorgeous 20s/30s Rolls Royce Tourer passed by honking his horn very enthusiastical...

Re: Classic car snobbery

I always take it quite personally when people don't wave back (as sad and pathetic as that sounds). I enjoy the fleeting moment of smiling and acknowledgement. I just judge it as polite respect. I had one yesterday who wouldn't wave back, and that wasn't a posher car, think it's just down to each dr...

Re: Studebaker Mystery

Glorious! The mystery is solved! Thanks so much everyone :D Pretty little car, and in fantastic condition. I only wish he'd parked up with the others so I could have a real look. Had a look about at them on the net, beautiful little things. Rather like the 'Weekend' opentop model. There's a decent o...

Studebaker Mystery

So today we returned from a holiday in the South of France (and obviously solving this mystery is my no. 1 priority on my return :) ). Yesterday on a stroll around the Village I was giddy to see a procession of Classics on a run out. I grabbed my camera and took a few rushed shots. All the cars park...

I didn't spot you at all over the weekend?!

But thanks a million for providing a set of wheel studs for my Minor this morning after we discovered the replacement ones we'd got off the internet were the wrong size (despite research). Didn't fancy a 140mile trip tomorrow on just 3. Life savers! :)

Re: Catton hall rally field

I've never been to a Rally at Catton Hall, but I have been to Bloodstock (a Heavy Metal Festival) there 5 times, and for the last 3 years I've worked the festival. The site is huge so I'm not entirely where on the Park we will be in relation to the festivals layout, but the ground is usually very fi...

A beautiful place I always love to visit, and a great venue for a Rally! Hi Stuart and Sue, It was lovely to meet you and I'm glad to see you got your car and you're happy with it! Thank you :) its still a work in progress, but it can only improve with age. I'm writing a piece on the Autokarna for the website at the minute. Yes of course you're more than welcome. The nex...

Some photos from the Autokarna. I threw a picnic for the Branch plus some friends - which I was massively nervous and stressed about - Ive never made food to feed 30 people before. But it was a great success! :) [frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1465409189_27378 [/frame][frame] http://mmoc....

East Midlands Branch Classic Car & Bike Night 20th June

The East Midlands Branch is hosting a Classic Car and Bike night on the 20th June at the Nurseryman. An event open to all classics, not just Minors, so hopefully get a great variety of Classics on show, and plenty of Minors of course! :) The Nurseryman, 117 Derby Road, Beeston, Nottingham, NG9 3AE T...
