Had a quick question my car has rust at the bottom of both rear doors have order the panels.my question is are there any giudes on how to dismantle the door taking out glass etc as i doubt it would be a good idea to weld when i still have windows in lol .any help woild be greatly appreciated.

Latest update cleaned all contacts in the engine bay and now i hve a working horn wipers heater etc so thanks for all the information now i can enjoy driving my wee car for a few weeks then sort out wings patch panels for rear doors and a bit of welding underneath for the next MOT in January cant wa...

Latest update went back to the start cleaned every contact in the engine bay checked with multi meter as I went reconnected wire to horn results are horn ,wipers,fuel gauge etc all work yeahhhhhh .so finally car runs and drives also stops after sorting brakes and now Mo had his toot toot and wipers ...

Hi yeah I did look at the horn didn't think of swapping wires as one of the wires was cut off at the end so I put a new spade on the wire hooked it to horn it worked but all other electrics didn't so took off wire back to normal checked interior light had corrosion on it took off all this refit ligh...

Funny you mentioned that the horn is mounted on wood .cleaned interior light fitting as it had corrosion but still has not sorted problem unless it has somthing to do with a faulty wire did use multi meter but aothough reading was up and down with different readings it went to 0.00 so im guessing th...

So checked the interior light it was corroded cleaned it up reconnect battery nothing have wipers etc didnt connect horn but light isnt working checked fuse and terminal both ok so any suggestions before i have to take this to a auto shop

Thanks for reply update information i gave found that the wire which was cut did work the horn but also had the effect of nothing else would work ie no wpiers,indicators, heater.checked interior light indeed it has corrosion so will get some sandpaper and clean them and change bulb hopefully that wi...

Good to know Thanks for information. Went to Halfords taliing to the guy seems the problem might be a bit of corrosion on contacts on the interior light which runs off the same fuse so will look tomorrow keep you updated

Update time found why horn not working earth wire was cut reconnected wire horn works but no window wipers indicators no heater took wire off and all works apart from horn been trying to sort it since 8:30am no luck any ideas where I'm going wrong

Just a quick update worked on Mo today sorted his brakes and hopefully a small leak at the hub took him out for a wee drive magic took me back to my younger days driving with my dad happy memories

Thank you for the warm welcome and information regarding oil .at present im in the process of fixing a leaking hub gasket. Hopefully that will go well then its trying to get so e rear wings and patch panels for rear doors. If anyone knows of any rear wings doors would be really helpful.

Quick update pedals working fine but brake pedal does seem to go all the way to the floor? Not sure if this is correct as im more use to driving a new car .Have only been driving two years .Anyone have any advice on how brakes you feel using drum brakes
