I think there are two trains of thought re. polishing the inlet ports , one ( polished ) is that it helps gas flow , the other ( rough ) is that it helps swirl the mixture... ?

used the old rubber ( was more pliable ),fit the glass in the rubber, fit from the inside , patience , warm the rubber in a bucket of hot water/ hairdryer ?..

Well that didn't take long to arrive from Bulgaria....the down-side is that the key profile although looking the same is totally different , as is the sealing washer ....and to top it all it won't fit in the filler pipe fitting..... No useable parts , destined for the dustbin.... Moral of this story...

I picked up a couple of remote systems from Maplin in the closing down sale...and a couple of Vellman VM130T remote controllers.
