Re: List of Keys numbers / Chassis or Reg

I found a real locksmith in my area who took a blank. Put it in the door and started cutting the spots where the tumbler hits. A half hour later he had a working key. I still do not know the number but now that i have several keys is does not matter. My advise to you is to find a old lock smith that...

Re: List of Keys numbers / Chassis or Reg

Where are you getting your data on key codes? I have a lock i am trying to find the key code for on my Nov of 59 van. This is about the 10th time some one has come up with key code numbers. Were the codes ever published in any books or on the internet? Is there is a place to find a copy of all the k...

Re: Morris Minor specialists - quality of service

How many people have you heard own up to mickey mousing some thing? The owner i got the van from told me he never did any ...

My friend wants to try it.

He asked what kind of olive oil?

His wife has a half dozen different kind on the shelf.

Re: More the better....

After closer inspection The only thing on the tag is the Z27253 the other side of the tag is blank. Is there any other location for numbers on the van? My vin is MAEU496263 Any idea what year my van was made. I know it was sold in 1960 as a 1961 model. The old owner said he thought it was made in la...

Re: Morris Minor Van Parcel Tray

Just happens that it is the year they changed 1959. Being late 1959 - if like the traveler it would be the one the steering shaft goes through. The earlier cars the tray was on top of the steering shaft. Here in the USA i have seen some webbed trays - may be a dealer option. Then gray shelf's which ...

Re: Morris Minor Van Parcel Tray

So far i think your going in the right direction from what i have found researching. Some commercial owners told me there's were gray in color. Some one told me there van had a cargo net type - Not card board. They were not sure if it was after market or factory. I was also told by another that some...

Morris Minor Van Parcel Tray

I was looking at the usual suppliers and i see a few list a parcel shelf for a LCV or Van.
After looking at the dimensions and seeing they are listed as the same for all models.
My question is there a difference in the Van parcel shelf from the others?
If so, What is different?

Re: Fitting a 9.5 gall tank to a Traveller

I saw a 9.5 tank put in a traveler last summer. They had to trim the original hole to make it wider so the tank would sit down like the original. I do not know if it obstructed the spare from fitting for sure or not. If i had to guess i would say if the tire fit with the 6.5 it would fit the 9.5. I ...

Re: Bottom of Tourer rust issues help needed

What would some thing like this cost in the UK? All the welders i have called in my area do not want to deal with it. They all feel like they paid there dues and only want to weld the easy stuff. One told me the liability was to high If some thing happened later. The only person i have found so far ...

Re: More the better....

There was no engine or transmission when i bought the van. I was told the transmission was shot and the original motor was stuck. So the previous owner scrapped them. I put a 1970's MG midget 1275 motor, rib cage and 4.22 rear gears in the van. The vehicle was pretty beat when i got it. I started at...

Bottom of Tourer rust issues help needed

Today i found out i have a very bad rust issue on my 1960 tourer. Just in front of the spring hanger there is a seam busting open. This caused the right side spring hanger to pull loose or droop down . The view from the top (after removing the seat) i could see a support about where the seam is loca...

The only thing i can read on the tag is the Z27253 the other side of the tag is covered with to much paint.

At least i remember to look - sorry i could not help more.
