Re: Increasing MM insurance costs

FJ through the club scheme has gone up 25% this year. I have 2 cars 1989 mini & 1969 minor. I contacted them to see if the premium could be reduced if I reduced the mileage as its currently unlimited, or remove the european travel. The person at FJ said no the policy is what it is!!

Just Advance the timing to make sure it doesn't pick under load. PS the vacuum is push-on type I just ...

Received my rally pack the other day and found all the items that have been located on the printed Google earth map are somewhat misplaced.
The marquee is on top of stanford hall itself! Branch avenue is in the lake and the red spot marked stanford hall is a field!

Basically it could be any or all of these. I replaced all recently and used poly bushes, new shackle pins nuts and replaced front rear spring bushes as well with new pins.
Maybe the leaf springs sagging and becoming 'longer'. hope this may help.

It is possible to adjust the rack by changing the shims. Can't remember which book I saw this in! Unless you really know what you are doing stripping a rack it would probably be best to get a recon rack just a swap over and re-tracking.

Timing at 6 deg BTDC at 600 RPM. May then need to retard for unleaded. Then set idle high enough so the ignition light is not flickering on tick over.

The 1st national I attended was in 1993 at Harewood House. Over the years it seems that the rally becomes smaller, less enterants, less traders. We even had live bands playing on the Saturday evening. Are people not supporting the National now as much as they used to? Is there perhaps less things to...
