Re: Torsion Bar replacement
Just had another crawl under and cleaned off the torsion bar and still showing diameter of 20mm. Down side was in my dressing gown and the Mrs has gone barmy. But seriously it seems like the nut/washer has pushed the cross member in. Ok so it looks like I've got to take further afield. Any recommend...

Re: Torsion Bar replacement
Not sorted any new torsion bars was hoping that someone might have known where to get them from.
Many thanks for the feedback even if it's not sounding like good news

Re: Torsion Bar replacement
The difference in height is 3cm with 18cm on drivers side and 15cm on passenger side which has the problem. I was advised by a member to change both sides as I was going to try and put new on.

Torsion Bar replacement
Hi I was at a show recently and asked members of the Stoke branch a question regarding my lopsided car. It was diagnosed at having a bent end to the torsion bar. I am not very mechanical minded so have found a local garage in West Midlands I am in Lichfield to have a look at. They have given me a pr...

Garage South - Staff Midlands
Hi I have been suffering with judder from the gear box in first and reverse for the last 12 months and finally feel the need to get it sorted as it is a bit embarrassing crossing a show ground at 5 mph while the car is juddering. Unfortunately I am not in a position to sort this myself as I believe ...

6951UN info
Hi I believe my car was originally in the Modified register prior to my purchase last year and am trying to track any info on the car. A lot of the mods where carried out in the early 80s, road cam 1 1/2 inch carb, stainless exhaust unleaded head hardened springs. disc brakes telescopic shocks and v...

tyre sizes
Hi hope someone can give me some advice.
I have just bought some 14 x 5.5 wheels I have telescopic shocks and discs fitted at front. I am after getting some good size rubber on my wheels, and was wandering what the biggest tyres I can fit, was hoping for 185 x 70 would this be possible.
