Re: Clutch pedal not returning fully
I had the same problem on mine. The spring looked fine but when I took it off it was clear it was not "springy" enough. The replacement was much stronger and solved the problem instantly, it's a cheap fix to try before you disturb anything else

Re: Broken Pushrods - How?
Just the one pushrod - that was a typo. Having read some horror stories on the internet about broken bits of piston ring getting wedged between the valve and piston I decided to use my newest tool - a USB boroscope! Luckily there doesn't appear to be anything like that in there, quite cool to be abl...

I did find the two pieces wedged together in the pushrod hole, so it is possible that the wear is actually from the broken bits rubbing together!

Broken Pushrods - How?
Hello, I've got a broken pushrod! One cylinder was not firing, and once I had taken the rocker cover off I could see why - a snapped pushrod... I've managed to get it out, and I've noticed some odd wear on it close to where it broke. Is this wear normal or is it a sign of something wrong? Is there a...

Re: What is this ?
I had the same problem on mine, the spring was there but the plate was missing so the filter was doing absolutely nothing at all. It also leaked badly from the bottom and was messy to change. I ended up doing the spin on filter conversion (which I believe is a later Mini part). It was easy to do and...

Re: Rubber bushes tightness
Cheers for that, I had suspected "Tight" would do the job.
I've already fitted the rubber bushes but I shall keep an eye on them and when (not if!) they need doing again I will do the poly or even metelastic bush instead

Rubber bushes tightness
New member here, working on my 1968 saloon as a rolling project. I've been replacing the front suspension rubber bushes and adjusting the ride height. Gone well so far but... How tight does the eyebolt need to be? Should it be done up as far as it can go, or loosened slightly so the shoulders on the...
