Is It Worth Starting?
Hello, After some advice please. Stripped down to asses floors and sills, is it worth repairing. http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii159/markpounder/MorrisMinor001.jpg http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii159/markpounder/MorrisMinor002.jpg http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii159/markpounder/Morris...

Hi got my cylinder head off and yes i did have a blown exhaust valve.
Once i get the valves out and de coke the head if the other valves are okay can i get away with just replacing the knackered valve.
cheers

Suspect Exhaust Valve
Suspected dodgy exhaust valve, as i haven't converted to lead free head yet if i need to replace one or all the valves and springs is it going to be easier to go for a lead free head considering there about 135 plus vat, if i do convert i take it the replacement head come with valves.

Thermostat Housing
Hello Am i right in thinking that to remove the housing to get at the thermostat the heater pipe needs to be removed. Is it okay to only remove the cylinder head nuts holding the heater pipes. Is there a way to remount the pipe to make it easier to get at the thermostat in future. Its a standard 196...

Torque Settings
Hello
Are there any torque settings for things such as the rear axle U bolts or rear dampers, or is it just engine and other specified stuff. What other parts have a torque setting apart from engine, hub nuts , front dampers etc.

Brake Pull Off Spring
Hello
Im replacing all the pull off springs as the current ones are past the best. Just need the correct holes to use to be confirmed, as the rear springs were fitted incorrectly and the front ones looked forced.
Cheers Mark

Suspect Head Gasket
Hello all,
I suspect I may have a blown head gasket, Ive got oil in my water and a few bubbles in the dipstick, and mayonaise in the oil cap.
How easy is a head gasket change and any things i should be aware of.
Thanks
Mark

Im running on unleaded using an additive as my head has not been converted yet. How should I change my timing settings to take account of this .
