Re: General public

At a show, I would expect it as it is part of it, but I was just going about the daily business. I.e trip to the dump, and a rather annoying 50 mile round trip to get my work bag back as the removal men had packed it on the lorry without me noticing! Haven't actually done any shows yet, really shoul...

General public

It's always nice to get comments about the car when you're out and about but does anyone ever find this overbearing? Don't get me wrong, it is really nice to have interest shown in the car and the occasional chat is great however I was collared 4 times the other weekend in the space of about 2 hours...

Re: Spotted today.

Saw this split screen in east London the other day, looking a little sorry for itself... Re: The New MOT Exemption Rules

After this happened, I went online and re-did my tax, after all it doesn't cost anything.

then the box for MOT exempt came up, which I ticked and it all went through fine.

although, I have just checked on the site and it still says no MOT status returned!!

Re: The New MOT Exemption Rules

I got pulled over by the rozzers last weekend in the saloon. Conversation as follows... ' good morning Sir, we'd just like to point out that your MOT expired on the 12th of May so you need to get that sorted' 'Thank you officer, but I am now exempt from MOT' 'No Sir, not road tax, the actual MOT' 'y...

Re: Bessie, 1964 Traveller restoration

Hi there,

It's full steam ahead at the moment as I'm getting it ready to move soon to a new garage.

Put the new floor pan in last weekend and is just tacked in place at the moment.

I'll update with pictures shortly.

Re: Spotted today.

Popped over to B&Q a couple of weeks back and saw this lovely red Corsair. The owner had had it from new. Quite nostalgic as my nan used to have one of these, although the sky blue colour. She got rid of it the week before I bought my traveller. By the way, the mog is my new run around whilst do...

Government petition to make it illegal for Historic Vehicles to be processed through scrappage schemes.

Morning all, Just found a petition on the parliamentary website asking for it to be made illegal for Historic Vehicles to be processed through scrappage schemes. Interestingly the data on the map shows a majority of signatures in the south, although very few in London. signed of course and thought I...

Re: fitting new exhaust

I hope it fits in the mog, I'm picking one up on Saturday that I managed to win on eBay for a tenner.

I'll put the back seats down and push it all the way through. Might have a bit hanging out the boot though!

Wish me luck!

Re: Paint Suppliers near Bromley

Hello there,

Did you manage to get the paint?

I need to get some for the traveller and the Bromley bunch look to be the closest to me. I also need to get some touch up paint for the new car.

Interested to hear how you got on.

All the best.
