Suitable garage in the Chester area?

Hello everyone. It's been a few years since I was last on here, mostly because I've had the MM garaged since our second child arrived and haven't had a chance until now to get it back on the road. The car has been stored at the father in laws in Chester and I cannot get it started (it's been a year)...

Signiture image not appearing

Hi All,

Seems in my absence there have been some wizzy upgrades done to the forum… however, now my image doesn’t appear. I tried to upload one through the user control panel but got an error… any ideas how to get the image back into my sig?

Hope you are all well.

Can only just see the heater valve - but it all does seem to be plumbed in correctly. The valve may be stuck - try it both full in and full out - and look inside the car at the heater , to see if the pipes have 'kinked over' where they go into the heater matrix. Hiya, pipes are not kinked - I check...

Kirsten if I remember correctly dont you run a 1275 with a heated inlet manifold, is the water getting past the manifold as it does sound like an air lock. Hi Kevin, bmc et al. Thanks for the replies and comments / suggestions. I do have a 1275 with water heated inlet valve but this is not plumbed ...

Thats the pull switch to the left and down from the steering wheel? This is in the off position (pushed in) and the cable in the engine compartment appears to return when if I pull it open and push it back... not that this means it's working, just an observation :)

Just in case anyone else is going to do this I thought I'd mention that you can buy rear inertia seatbelts for a convertible and fit the reels in the boot compartment. Morris Minor centre Bath have appropriate parts should you need them.

Also thanks to Peetee for the help :)

No hot water going into heater

Hi All, Finally got the moggie back on the road after 7 months, passed MOT first time :D We did a 100 mile drive in it this weekend and I noticed that the heater isn't blowing hot air. The heater itself is blowing fine but a quick feel of the pipe coming into the heater revealed it was cool as oppos...

Rear seat belts for convertible

Hi All, Been away for a while and the moggie has been garaged… the reason being related to this question… Having made it though the first 7 months of fatherhood I am back on the case and keen to get the little’un ‘onboard’! I’ve been on the phone to Bull motif and asked about rear seat belts so I ca...

I've complained several times about pitted chrome and have been supplied replacements on these occasions. The only trouble with this is that there is little point in fitting replacements if the replacement is going to be as poor as the first set. It's a never ending circle and is frustrating because...

Kirsten, That was my question to my main supplier, the answer because the majority of customers want cheap parts. you get what you pay for ,in this case so don't complain when buying cheap, however for panels my attitude changes. :( What I think is the issue here is that there are no definitions fo...

I fitted boot and bonnet hinges and they were pitted after the first rainfall (1 week). I sent them back and had them replaced . The replacements lasted 3 weeks! I dont understand how supplies can offer 'superior' Chrome products and still sell the standard ones. Either the chrome corrodes rapidly (...

Thanks for all the help guys. I have located the correct part and it looks like SCparts are the cheapest (they got back to me in the end - probably a Christmas thing). Minifinity sell them but they are about £30 more expensive! I'll let you know about the results when as and when - it will be back t...

Hi both, thanks for the replies: Kevin, the 123 ignition has been talked up a lot on sites such as minifinity as it has 16 adjustable curves and is a pretty easy swap - things like the Alden yellow have a fixed curve which is a best guess curve. I think BMC has some knowledge of the 123 as he mentio...
