fume vent dumping oil

Hi,

there is a pipe running down the side of the sump, its noted as fume vent on the schematic, ( its not the crankcase breather that returns to the air filter), well it dumped some oil on the road after being out for a drive, never seen this before, what could cause this?

regards

Re: Tail light series 2

All looks in pretty good nick, the bulb went a couple of weeks ago so I got a new and it was fine, but then noticed it wasn’t working again, checked the bulb swapped them around to find it wasn’t the bulb. Could it be the switch? Where is the switch? Wouldn’t that affect both brake lights though?

Tail light series 2

One of the rear stoplights has stopped operating when brake applied, it works as a tail, but turns off when brake applied, the other side is fine and changed the bulbs around to check it’s not the bulb.
Had a fiddle around with the wiring, but no luck.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Re: Fan Pully to water pump Morris series 2 803cc 1954

Hi, the slot to receive the key is worn, the key looks worn, and the slot in the flange is damaged at one end, so basically it’s not a good fit and becomes loose in operation. The water pump is a reconditioned cast iron fitted last year, and I took it off and it seems fine, no play or leak.
