Re: Bonnet Rust - advice needed please

Thanks for the replies. I've only had the car for a couple of months and it needs a very small amount of tidying, this rust on the bonnet being the worst area, also needs some work to the near side waist rail. I think I will keep an eye out for a replacement bonnet and the rear wings can be tidied a...

Bonnet Rust - advice needed please

My traveller has a patch of rust on the bonnet, please see photo... I'm not able to tackle this myself but want it sorted, any ideas as to how much this would cost to be repaired and I assume it would be best for the entire bonnet to have a respray? Also, any recommendations for the Leicestershire a...

Branch query: Cov and District, Warks or Rugby

Hello all Is anyone a member of the above branches - Coventry and District, Warwickshire or Rugby? I've had no luck trying to find someone to work on my Traveller so thought I would go along to a meeting, meet some like minded people and hopefully find someone who is looking for a bit of work! There...

Thanks for coming over Ray, I really appreciate it! Well, just to bump this back up.

So, does anyone know of someone who would be able to do the work? I'll try and sneak the Chrostmas bonus away to give me a head start!

Amazing isn't it - since we changed the clocks and had bad weather I see an accident on the M1 every time I drive to the office in Leeds!

Kim, they are great pictures - I have to admit i'm a bit jealous - although I don't think it would be nice trying to get to work in weather like that!

I know you said you did not have a towbar, but if you fit one, it's always worth checking the kerb weight of the towing car. I towed a Traveller on a 600kg trailer with a Peugeot estate and I realise now I exceeded the cars towing limit!

Kevin, it's in the back garden, but the problem is it is on full view from the kitchen window and door (I think this is the main gripe but I try not to discuss it!). The garden is only 48ft x 18ft with shed and two dogs attempting to run around! I think the wood has been sanded and so is starting to...

UOG Trav Last Chance Saloon

Dear all In light of Steve's problem with the neighbours and pen pushers (aka Council) the days of my '71 Trav are now limited. I've been given an ultimatum that it either goes to be fixed or it goes on ebay - either way it has got to be out of the garden soon as it has outstayed its welcome. (and i...

Hi gribblewok - i'm looking for exactly the same. I might ask someone from the Brum branch to come and have a look at my trav in exchange for beer vouchers - to be honest I still don't know what needs doing and it has sat here for almost two years!

Let me know your progress!

Steve, really sorry to hear your news. My neighbours are always taking cars to pieces and putting them back together again and it doesn't bother me - and they were fine when we built my kitchen extension and knocked the house around - it's all about mutual respect and trying to get on with people is...

Advice from the VOSA website: "What if you disagree with an MOT result? If you disagree with the test result firstly discuss it with the test station if possible, and do not let anyone carry out repairs to your vehicle. What if I think it has wrongly failed? You must complete an appeal form (VT...
