Re: Minor insurance

Geo Thanks very much for research, the ABI Salvage Code looks a good reference document 8.4 of the code seems perfectly reasonable but 9.4 could be used 9.4 Historic/ Classic Vehicles It is recognised that some historic/ classic vehicles or vehicles of special interest (Sentimental Value) may be rep...

It’s a bit ridiculous,that...obviously crash damaged parts can’t be allowed back into the market, but lots of rare and useful stuff is being wasted.
Is this a legal requirement or something the insurance companies have dreamt up?

Re: Minor insurance

Hi Geo, thanks for reply So, salvage does have to be paid for if the owner wants it back. Re: Ital to Minor top hose

Cut off the pipe on the radiator leaving approx 1" and purchase a rad hose with a 90deg bend from your local motor factor, make sure you get the correct internal diameter, or cut a Minor bottom hose to fit

Minor insurance

I've been ringing around re insurance and it is interesting to note that Footman James now charge an extra premium of £12 to guarantee the owner gets back the salvage in the case of a Category A or B insurance write off at no extra charge. If the extra premium is not paid then the salvage can be pur...

Mud Plugging

Not sure if this link works http://bit.ly/2WqLdk0 but a very interesting Youtube video of the 1963 VSCC Rally at Presteigne.

Nice idea for a Minor Rally especially in the Presteigne/Mid-Wales area where the roads are quiet!

Who's up for it?

Laptop: buying used

My IT needs are minimal so I thought I'd buy a used laptop, not refurbished.

Has anyone got a favourite test I could run on a laptop to see if the hardware and software is functioning correctly
NB. must be simple to carry out
