Re: Bonnet release mechanism

Sorry, work got in the way of looking on here. Thanks for the 2nd photo, just what I needed. I'd dismissed that hole as being for something I'd not fitted yet as my car has no wings or front panel fitted and there's a matching hole on the other side. I'll connect it all up when I get chance. Thanks ...

Re: Dash/Instrument light switch

Thanks. I'd seen similar on eBay but the ones with a size on are all a lot smaller than the original. I was hoping for a direct replacement if possible, maybe I'm setting my sights too high!

Re: Bonnet release mechanism

Thanks, yes it does.

What does the spring hook into under the wing though? My car doesn't have anything, although I guess I can make a suitable sized hole in the inner wing.

Dash/Instrument light switch

The small switch which hides under the dash near the choke control is broken on my car (which explains why the dash lights don't work).

Does anyone have a working one please?

Bonnet release mechanism

I bought my Minor as a part complete project which I'm building back to complete. Yesterday I was putting the bonnet release mechanism back together, but I can't work out where the anti rattle spring on the long rod which goes into the car fixes. I can attach it to the rod, but I can't see anything ...

Re: Wiper motor problem

My 2nd wiper motor arrived today. Very rusty and dirty on the outside but the inside contains an arm with the bush attached and the black clip so I have what I need to fix my original motor. Does it matter much what sort of grease I use when reassembling? I was assuming ordinary LM grease, but then ...

Re: Wiper motor problem

Thanks, that's just what I needed. It looks like the arm comes with the brass bush attached. I took the photograph with it the wrong way up, the other end does look like it once had enough metal to be riveted to the arm, sadly it doesn't any more. That end of the arm is no longer round either, so I ...

Re: Wiper motor problem

Thanks. If you do have an exploded diagram that would be really helpful. I've not managed to find one.

Wiper motor problem

I have a problem with my 1969 car's wiper motor. The car has been off the road since about 2003 so things were stuck. I was able to free off the wiper spindles and get everything turning and all seemed well until I realised that there was no self parking when I switched the wipers off. When I took t...

1969 2 door saloon TKL172H

I bought my car in August last year and I've been "lurking" on here for a while learning a lot and finding answers to various questions I had so thanks to all of you who have answered posts by other people - you've helped me a lot! I have a question I can't find an answer for so I'm about to post a ...
