I didn't quite understand the recent remark. Have I been insulted ?
I don't thing anyone has been insulted, except Boris, and surely he's fair game?

It's all harmless banter, isn't it? :-?

Re: Bojo the Cloan

"Well whether you stay or leave approximately half of the country will feel angry & disenfranchised for a long time". I don’t agree. I voted to stay, but like a lot of people I believe in democracy and I’ll carry on making the best of things. These days the leavers seem more upset than the so calle...

Sorry, this has dragged on so long that I’d forgotten that it was a 1300 build.

Re: Engine in bits for a rebore-anything else worth doing?

At the last rebuild I used the Mini Spare/Payen head gasket and I have never had any problems and that is used with a very high compression ratio and good oil pressure. Phil My engine builder recommends the same gasket, it’s currently out of stock but they have a stock alert system https://minispar...

Re: MESSAGE BOARD REPLACEMENT

If it does happen, is there a chance that it may cause problems such as lost posts? I encountered a problem yesterday that was explained by Phil. No point having a new forum if loads of useful info is lost. Ah ha - now all is clear. Welshrat's link does indeed show No Input File Specified. Therefore...

Re: No input file specified

Declan burns gives a list of parts required in your first link above but they are Automotive Pipe Supplies (APS) parts not Aeroquip but can be used as a guide. They do sell non plastic pipe. With my remote clutch master cylinder reservoir I have used rubber pipe and had no problems with leakage or ...

Re: No input file specified

Welshrat’s link was to a list of parts needed to make a proper remote reservoir, using Aeroquip rather than plastic hose. I can work it out by measuring the space in the car, but as it’d already been done I’d have liked to see how they did it.

Re: No input file specified

That’s a bit crap, there must be loads of useful info that people have spent their time posting, that’s just disappeared. I hate posting questions that have been asked many times before, but this lack of foresight by the MMOC is very poor.

Re: No input file specified

Thanks Phil, maybe it’s a Apple issue.

Phil, your link takes me to the thread that I posted, not the actual thread that the link in the post shows.

I want to see this thread

They call it a “heater upgrade”, that suggests an improvement over the standard setup. Maybe we’re only seeing part of the ‘upgrade’?

Re: LEDs and alternator

Did you fit an electronic flasher unit when you fitted the led indicator bulbs?

Which led headlight bulbs did you fit? (nothing to do with the flasher issue, I'm just interested)

You appear not to have fitted the adjuster vernier plates.
The plates are a most important part of the torsion bar assembly.
Phil, it wasn't him.
