Re: Silicone heater hose size

Thanks Phil. Have to say I agree and have done the same and fitted a rubber set. The silicone ones will also remain as spares.

Silicone heater hose size

Hi Am currently fitting new all silicone hoses. Came to the heater hoses and noted impossible to use the rubber grommets as the silicone hose from a well known supplier is much thicker than standard rubber hose. Anyone think it’s a possible problem ignoring the grommets? I would have thought over ti...

Re: HS2 Gasket question

Well after stripping and rebuilding the carb and then fitting a glass fuel filter with gates hose from Car Builder Solutions all is now hunky dory. Don’t think I will be replacing the fuel tank just yet although It would be nice. Can highly recommend a tin of carb cleaner by the way. It’s the dogs d...

Re: Accuspark 2 leads

Sorry for the late update my bad...... I have now bought an Accuspark positive earth electronic ignition and sports coil. My old distributor was knackered so thought I would give this a try. There are instructions supplied so hope they will suffice. I am still undecided as to where to get the power ...

Accuspark 2 leads

Hi need some advice re the Accuspark electronic ignition. I see there are 2 leads. My distributor is positive earth 25d on a 1098 66 minor. The distributor only has one lead for the low tension circuit. Therefore what are the 2 on the Accuspark for?

HS2 Gasket question

Hello I am in the process of fixing a fouled up carb on my 1098 66 Moggy. I note most of the kits seem to include more than one of the gaskets that go between the carb and the inlet manifold? Anyone know why there are two identical gaskets? Also while I am here I see there are some who object to the...

Recommended Morris Specialist in the Peak District area

Hi Considering having some upgrades to my Morris that are not within my mechanical comfort zone. I would like to have a break servo added along with a visible master in the engine bay and electronic ignition. I have a 1966 Minor 1000 with a 1098 engine. Any recommendations would be good. Many thanks...

Re: New wiring harness

RAC man has found that the fuse carrier unit that has the two main fuses for the car had naff fuses and also needed “fettling” with some wet and dry. Two new fuses and a rub down later all seems to be working fingers crossed. He was surprised that he had two old glass fuses in his van - they were in...

Re: New wiring harness

This is what I love about the Morris, the owners are lovely helpful people. I like the sound of the method to replace the harness and it sounds really logical and straightforward. On the other hand I would like to use it a bit more first so will probably do some repairs for now. RAC has just phoned ...

New wiring harness

Hello I am new to the forum so apologies if this is in the wrong group but electrical seems to closed. I just bought a Morris yesterday from Spinning Wheel Classic Cars in Dronfield. Took it out for a spin and unlike the test drive it died 3 times. Upon stopping at a junction all electrics just stop...
