Success!
Tried moving the wires round on the rear light terminals.
No idea why that worked - nothing like a little mystery in the world!
Thanks for your help nwxh

Flashing
Odd problem. Wonder if I can pick the collective brains? All indicators working just fine, except when the lights are on when the rear r/h stays on but won't flash - all the others working fine. I initially thought it would be a relay problem and so replaced the DB10. Same problem still there with n...

Re: Indicators
Further news...edge of your seat stuff here!
Tried out a spare DB10 - no difference
No blown bulbs, no loose wires, earth OK
So, left with no driver's side rear indicator, no back lights and no brake lights
Truly stumped

Re: Indicators
Just by way of an update...
All the connectors are firm and fixed where they should be
It's a 1963 car, DB10 working fine, but still no lights/brake lights and no rear r/h indicator

Re: Indicators
Thanks Simmtic,
Yes, just a new switch (stalk).
I did make sure all the bullet connectors were still in situ but it does sound like this is the place to go back to.
At the moment the o/s rear will indicate but no lights or brake lights at the back
Why oh why did I do it...

I wonder if anyone has any bright ideas... Foolishly, I have replaced my indicator with a Lucas - like for like but the new one self cancels - something I never managed to achieve. Everything working fine on the front, but I've lost everything at the back (lights in any form) And yet I've just put o...

Dear Wise Members, Your advice on the latest little adventure I'm having would be appreciated. It all started with a sporadic metallic noise coming from the direction of the back axle, most noticeably when changing up to/down from a higher gear. Sounded a bit like the exhaust was dragging on the gro...

Pax! Glad tidings to all members and certainly to me for all this excellent advice. Perhaps I can calm things down a little and update in time for the next bout :) 1. This is not the car with the infuriating indicator - gone to a good home - I fancied a challenge ! (famous last words) 2. I have a mu...

Could I throw out a general call for ideas and suggestions? I have a 1963 1098 which had come back to life with sporadic but overall encouraging progress..until a few days ago, ticking along on the drive, engine quietly dies. So far I have: 1. Checked/topped up the fuel 2. Confirmed all looks well w...

Help with Hubs
Hello,
Does anyone have any handy tips for getting the front hubs back on?
New bearings just fitted and so not too keen on my usual go-to of hit it with a hammer - it just needs a bit of "persuasion"!
Many thanks
