Re: Bakelite/plastic cleaner

I popped into Halfords today, but unfortunately they didn’t have satin black paint. I settled for plastic bumper paint, which has a semi satin finish, so hopefully it will do the job. If not I can always repaint it.

Rear light bezels

Hi I’m replacing the domes and bezels of the rear indicators and lights on Molly. No problem removing the old ones, but any tips on installing the new ones? I’m finding it very difficult to prise the existing rubber gasket over the rim of the new bezel. So far I have achieved one very swollen and cu...

Re: Headlight rims

Getting the old rims off was easy enough, but the lugs are too high to easily clip the new rim on. I might need to cut the two bottom lugs down a little. Hopefully it will be ok, as the top two lugs will hold the rim firmly and the screw will hold the bottom in place.

Headlight rims

Hi I’m fitting new headlight rims to Molly, and need some advice. There are two lugs at the top and bottom of the unit to help secure the rim, with one screw at the bottom. Once I have engaged the rim over two of the lugs, how do I force it over the other two. I’m nervous about levering it over in c...

Locking petrol cap

I’ve purchased a locking petrol cap for my traveller, and can’t work out how it fits. I’ve attached a pic. The base part fits over the petrol pipe ok, but the two small screws connect to thin air! Any ideas?
Cheers

Re: Traveller sealant

Thanks Matt.
I’ll email esm. It only requires a very thin bead in most places, but it will show, so colour is important.

Traveller sealant

Hi
The sealant between the woodwork and panels on the outside of my traveller is very irregular, and I want to tidy it up. Any suggestions as to the best way of doing this? Is there a coloured sealant on the market to Improve the appearance?

I’ve replaced the rubbers for the quarter lights and am attempting to fit new quarter lights. I’m finding it impossible to get them to fit. I can’t line up the screw holes for the top swivel. Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks geoberni
They are direct replacements. I’m trying them out dangling from the wires. The originals were working fine, but no earth wire to the unit.
