That under-size connector is a common fit on may Japanese cars.
A quick trip to a wreckers and 10 minutes with a soldering iron and some shrink sleeve.
Make sure you fuse everything.

Just a couple of things: WD-40 will not attack rubber but is not a great conductor either. It does tend to go 'sticky' after a time so is not the best for door locks or ratchet screwdrivers. Hi MM, LES (Lilliput Edison Screw) globes (Bulbs) and holders are available from good electronic component shops.
