Hi everyone
Been doing a rebuild on my 948 engine and wanted to try and find an alloy rocker cover with the breather, although can’t seem to find one anywhere! The only ones I can see don’t have the breather, any ideas ?

Trying to find 948 thermostat housing with temp sender
Hi everyone
Does anyone know where I can get a thermostat housing for the 948 engine which has a tapped hole for a temperature sender ? Would prefer to try and find one than going down the bottom hose mod

Coil overheating?
Hi everyone I am now a proud owner of a 54 Morris series 2, with the 803cc engine. Broke down on the way home from driving it! found the coil to be VERY hot, since then replaced the coil and condenser, new leads etc..... Starting first time now, however the new coil is quite hot, not boiling but you...

Re: Oil pressure takes a while to build up
No probs there I even removed the gauge to see if that was the problem, the light still remains on for longer than it should. It's very odd indeed

Oil pressure takes a while to build up
Hi everyone I have recently fitted new conrod bearings and pistons/rings. Before I did this the oil pressure was taking some time when warm to build up, from cold it was okay. Since rebuilding it's the same, however i get around 55Psi cold and 30 when warm at idle and 45-50 on a run in top gear. Whe...

Re: Piston rings?
rings were worn, bores were surprisingly in good nick, a hone and it was nice and smooth. Measured ring gaps in cylinders and all were within tolerance
All back together now and running once again!

Re: stem oil seals
Very little wear to guides, all new valves ground in, so would it be worth buying some? only concerned with the o ring's as they are quite delicate

stem oil seals
Hi everyone Getting close to finishing my moggie bottom end rebuild, at the same time I have cleaned out the cylinder head and put in new valves, I see on ESM spares there are some spring type (looks like a cup?!) oil seals, should I be using these instead as the O-rings don't look like they will la...

I have now honed out the bores ready for the pistons to go back in, what method of cleaning does anyone recommend for cleaning the bores after honing?

Well it was hardly easy for me to tell what had happened at the time unfortunately
There is no scoring or damage that I can see to the block or head.
