Re: V5C Registration Document Wrong Engine Size Cylinder Capacity CC
I wrote a covering letter explaining that the tax class won't change as the vehicle is "historic" and no supporting documentation is needed. This was in reference to my 1948 De Soto where I changed from 2300 cc diesel to 5700 cc petrol. The V5C came back with the changes in a couple of wee...

Re: What do you want me to tell you?
You're spot on Berni. I sometimes drop into the Facebook page and some of the questions (and answers) are frightening! It's great to see new owners but it seems a lot of them do absolutely no research or test drives, but rather just buy a car and then ask the most basic questions on Facebook or com...

I have been using Arum white on my wheels.
Halfords haven't been replenishing their stock recently so I am slightly concerned that it's been discontinued.
The flash has made my wheel look slightly whiter than it is.

Re: ESM Morris Minors.
I have been using ESM for a little while and have always been happy with the service. I received a van petrol tank yesterday instead of the saloon item that I had ordered. Correct tank arrived this morning and the incorrect item was collected this afternoon. I'm very happy with the way things were d...

I'm interested in the bending answer.
The bar is padded, a kit is available.
I used 15mm pipe lagging and some vinyl I had lying around.
Fitting instructions for the crash pad are available on the Newton Commercial website.

Re: Camshaft choice
I have looked at the websites but they don't give comparative specs. The A series always responds well to improved breathing so a streetable set up is all we require. The Chevy V8 I put in my Model A was tuned a little wild but if course it was a large engine in a light car. The intention is to incr...

Camshaft choice
I have received advise that the Swiftune SW5 can is an excellent choice.
I am considering a KAD "stage 3" cylinder head.
Would I be better going for their road 100 cam?
I can't find specs from either manufacturer to compare.
Engine is Marina 1275

Crank pulley
I have a Marina engine which I am preparing to put into our Minor.
The engine has been fitted with a Minor crank pulley.
Would it be better for me to fit a damper pulley and if so is a "performance" pulley worth the extra cost over a standard item?

Usually (but not always) if the V5C states non transferable registration mark, it isn't the original number.

Maestro engine into Minor
Apologies if this has been covered already. I have been offered a good Maestro 1275 engine for a fair price. Presumably the "front" of the engine just needs the same modifications as a Marina engine. The information I have been able to find indicates that the rear of the crank needs to be ...

Re: How to show that I am a club member?
Even after clicking on "edit Profile"? In my defence I had my retina reattached last week and my vision is not great at the moment. Now that is a very reasonable defence. I hope you're well on the mend now. Thanks, it will be a few weeks yet. Having blurred vision in one eye is worse than...

Re: How to show that I am a club member?
Hi Dusty Just did this a few weeks ago. Click on Profile in the drop-down list from the arrow by your user name top right, , then click on Edit Profile, you should see a box saying "MMOC Member?" with a Yes button and a No button. Click on the Yes button. I just checked and there is a box...
