Re: Engine in bits for a rebore-anything else worth doing?
The key air flow volume characteristic between multi bladed fans is the blade pitch not the number of blades.

Re: Air in brake line
]Here is a photo of balance pipes supplied recently. The threads are correct 3/8 UNF but the flaring is incorrect. The original bridging pipe on the right is single flare. The 2 supplied ones are double flare and are unlikely to seal.

Re: front shock absorber
The damper operating principal consists of dual pistons connected to a common rocker arm (the lever). It does not matter which way round they are fitted provided the levers are symmetrical and fitted accordingly.

Re: Torsion Bar Install after Chassis Leg Replacement
Phil I'm ready to install the torsion bars. Looking at the manual it simply states tightening the torsion bar and lever nuts but no torque settings. The attached sketch shows the bar assembly at the cross member end. With the stepped packing washers fitted how much torque/effort should there be befo...

Re: Steering rack
There are 2 damper pads items 3 and 7 on the diagram. These are in contact with the shaft and they wear. Only the Secondary pad seems to be available (ESM). Easy to change by unscrewing caps 5 and 9. When I overhauled mine I fitted one end of the bellows poured in the oil and then fitted the free en...

Re: Torsion Bar Install after Chassis Leg Replacement
Phil Have obtained and fitted the stepped washers. As you stated they had to be filed a little to finally fit. The photo shows the small gap between the washers when fitted. To get an accurate measurement for C I've used a 8mm screwed rod between the front rear spring hangers. With the stepped washe...

Torsion Bar Install after Chassis Leg Replacement
I am currently replacing both front chassis half legs. Before dismantling I checked both front wheel centre lines (chassis leg hole centre) to torsion bar ends as per dimension D on the attached drawing. The drivers side is as the drawing at 991mm. The passenger is at 996mm. Measurement H confirms t...

I have an Magneti Marelli alternator rated at 85amp. Could this be used on the Minor?
