What's 10wt oil? Never heard of that grade before! If I remember correctly, mine are probably due a refresh, I used motorcycle fork oil. SAE20? Or even hydraulic jack oil, same viscocity. I have used straight SAE 30 engine oil through to EP 90 in the Minor front dampers and SAE 20/50 in the rear dampers. The straight SAE 30 grade oil gives a nice firm but not harsh ride. Just changed oil on all dampers. All were very contaminated with black sludge metalic particles. Photos show a before and after cleaning of a front unit. Thanks Kevin. My left hand is 15mm different to the right hand between the front and rear hanger hole centres.

After preparation, sanding, washing, and evoporative degreaser and Immeadiately before any painting use tack cloths. Do not use any fibrous cloths before painting.

There are two damper pads on the steering rack available from ESM. They are not adjustable. If you remove them the pads will probably have a curved wear pattern where they press on to the shaft.
