Grand Reveal!

Due to the awful weather, today was the first dry, sunny and freezing cold day that I could play. Needed to move the A40 Farina to accommodate the Traveller in the garage. Brief play, few jobs to sort in the next week or so, but now dry. Named 'Alice' ( I learned to drive in Auntie Alice's Traveller...

Tragedy 1967.

The Stockport Air Crash in 1967, just 6 miles short of Manchester Airport, is never forgotten in this area, 72 people who lost their lives are remembered by their memorial at Hopes Carr. There are many references and pictures online, but one is of a Minor Traveller that didn't make it into preservat...

Always used tack rags. Our old Bodyshop foreman used to make us fold them to use all their surfaces, 32 iirc!

It's here!

So yesterday saw us having a trip to the Midlands and driving back in the Traveller. No photos as yet, due to monsoon and immediate covering. Pretty impressed, driving over 100 miles in a motor that apart from a quick recommissioning, hadn't been driven in anger for 7 years. It never missed a beat. ...

Old dealers

Sometime in the dim and distant past, working for a Distributor in Manchester, my path crossed with an old ex mil dealer, Jonny Ajedarian, who ran Dragon Garage at White City Roundabout, Manchester. He bought only the best Travellers out of service, and sold at premium prices. Place is now sadly und...

Re: Moss Manchester (Cheadle, Stockport) Closed Down

Sad day. Used them many many years, in fact back when Barry Stafford was trading part time out of his garage at home! Staff always great and helpful, even the ever curmudgeonly John! Progress, they tell us.

Re: Charles Ware Liquidator Statement

It's been on the club Facebook group for a few weeks (facebook.com/groups/morrisminors ) but I'm afraid I forgot to mention it here too. The parts supply element that survived the previous insolvency has now itself folded. I believe there is a further business under the same name which isn't linked...

Originally illumination. Later they got trickier, with gearbox switches, I suggest then they became a warning light too!

Hello.

Does one need to introduce oneself? Spent a lifetime (well until 2005) With BMC, BLMC, A-M, AR and Rover Group until its last day on earth. Started in the Bodyshop, ended in Senior Management. Been in NHS management since. Now 66, I've had a lot to do with Minors but never owned one, until last Frid...

Re: When grinding, wear eye protection

As both a Traveller owner and putting my other hat on as a Senior Nurse in a large A&E Department, I see a fair amount of Car/DIY related eye injuries. As regards eye grinds, Large lumps are usually straightforward to sort. The problem comes with the little niggles that people ignore for a few d...
