Iam looking for the two chrome strips that at fitted at either side of the speedometer on 60’s minor saloon. Grateful if any for sale.

I have also tried to locate the part with ESM but it doesn’t appear to be listed however I have sourced a second hand one on the internet. Strange that it’s not listed anywhere.

I like the look of the bench seat in the pickup, I haven’t seen this before and looks great.

Does anyone know what the purpose of the two box sections with threaded hole on the interior of the pick up can. It can’t be for a spare wheel as it’s far too low. I have attached a picture as my description isn’t the best.

My pick up fits in with the story of running a garage supplying commercial vehicles. Very coincidental that the couple who started the garage are going into retirement just as my pickup is coming out of retirement

Thank you, at least the number has been narrowed down to a specific area in Suffolk. The prefix in my registration number is FPU, not sure if this is linked to the area of the phone number.

Just repairing the tail gait on my 69 pickup and found a phone number under a badly welded plate. The phone number is 0449 782301/781, looks like a Suffolk number but Dora’s anyone recognise what company it belonged to. It would be good to find out where my pickup had been in the past.

Thanks for the replies, I now know what this valve does and I definitely don’t require it to be fitted to my standard 1098 pickup.

I agree that it looks identical to the valve in the image of the mini and it would make sense that it attaches to the vacuum feed for the servo as it was found in a box of brake parts. What is it’s purpose of a run on valve and is it worth fitting?

It looks different to the one in the link as there is only one inlet on the one I have as opposed to three so I don’t think it can switch over. Could it be anything to do with releasing pressure in the vacuum system although I have no idea why that would be useful.

The seals were on when I got it but they look newish, the doors align and close better without the seals fitted. I wasn’t sure if there was a thinner type of seal available.
