:D I had that kind of incentive for a period- mine smoked when you didn't cancel them. Solved that one pretty quickly though! :o It was a pair of wires mixed up by (presumably) the last owners... Same with the wiper unit, though it took a little longer to notice that smoking because of its position....

Remember me? :)
Hello all! Just a note to say that after an endless period of moving house, concentrating on school work and numerous other things, I'm now back in the land of cars- working simultaneously on the Moggy and the TR, so I'll be around more again! Incidentally, is the little lifting pin under the carb d...

on much larger cars of course. I was going to say... The Humber Hawk was one of the ones I disagreed with, too- it wasn't anywhere near one of the top classics. But then, there weren't many classic Brits in there- there was a notable absence of British cars later than about the forties- no l...

Do you mean the styling was from lots of other cars, or there were lots of other cars on the list?.. I did notice the similarities between the 4CV and the Moggy, but obviously the Moggy was the rightful occupant of that time period's spot on the list...:) There were American cars on there, but they ...

What engine do you have in the car? Order for undoing parts, well, if it's a complete rebuild then valves, head, timing chain+wheels, camshaft, sump, pistons; that's about as far as you can go with the engine in the car, if you remove it then the various bearings, followed by the crank. The clutch, ...

Complete electrical death- No longer intermittent.
Just got worse. I turned the ignition and the car blacked out, tried removing and replacing all the fuses, terminals on the battery etc, but nothing could coax life back into the old girl... The battery wasn't low, so it's not that either.
Mystery.
Mystery.

Complete electrical death (intermittent...)
Moggy has a new trick! Pull the starter and everything dies. Right down to the courtesy light, which means it's a problem with power coming from the battery... No fuses blown, I removed and put back on the terminal lead that leads to the starter and the system came back online- til I pulled the star...
