CJ Autos vehicle lift/tilter

I wondered if anyone has any experience of using a CL01 car lift/tilter from CJ autos. After many years on my knees, I decided to treat myself to a new 'toy.' Morris Minor newspaper article

It was nice to meet lots of people at last weekend's National Rally, even if we had to hold on to the gazebo whilst having a conversation, due to the strong wind! We thought some of you might be interested in seeing an article written about our Minor, produced in our local newspaper: the Express and...

NEC Classic Car Show

Not long got out of bed, after recovering from four days at the NEC. We were invited to display the Traveller on the Classic Hearse Register stand, but as there were only a handfull of us, we had to put in some fairly lengthy stints manning the stand. It did mean that we had free entry and car parki...

Hi all, Thanks for your suggestions. The good news is - I now have what appears to be a functional clutch, although I won't know for certain until I get the car back on the road. I'd like to give you a definitive answer as to what was wrong, but the results have been a little inconclusive. I'm in th...

Clutch release problem

Hi, I have a clutch release problem. I have installed a 1098 engine & gearbox and assembled the clutch linkage to the pedal, but the clutch withdrawal arm is fouling the hole in the casting before releasing the clutch. I've not completed the installation or started the engine up, but it seems po...

Hi, and thanks for the comments and information thus far. Just so as people understand where we're coming from, here's a brief explanation as to why we posted this question: We run a wedding car hire business with our two minor convertibles, and to date we've done almost 100 weddings, successfully u...

Sat-nav in a Minor

I'm thinking about getting a sat-nav, which I'd like to be able to use in my Minors as well as in my modern car. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which make/model would be best? I'm only looking for UK maps, and ideally I'd also like traffic information to be available, although I don't have a...

As with most things mechanical, there could be a multitude of reasons, but sudden cutting out generally tends to be electrical, and I suspect the original cause may have been weak engine or gearbox mountings including the gearbox steady cable, which allow the engine & gearbox to move forward und...
