1968 Austin 1100, my first car and the car I learned to drive in :)

Unfortunately I was hit head-on by a drink driver three months after passing my test, it finished the car off, although I was unhurt. A good car though.

No, only the series 5 had 8" drums on the front. The series 3 had 7" drums all round. unless they were later upgraded by its owner.

Hi Anthony, I use my 948 everyday, about 13,000 miles a year. I drive between 50 & 60 mph with no problems, as long as you keep the car well maintained, and at regular intervals it will be fine. I also keep the car outside on the drive due to no garage, this has never been a problem for me. Mick

The '3' was probably inside a diamond shape ? If so - it was a size tolerance at the factory - not significant now.
