Ive had the same problem,TBH if your under 21 forget anything over 1500cc (this is where MGBs get stuck)
Ive been with FJ for 5 years, the price never came down, the service got worse,as did the mistakes.
ive moved to Lancaster for my 1973 Reliant Rebel, £170 fully comp, opposed to £438 tpft with FJ.

Re: car insurance
I have been with FJ since 2007 aged 18,on minors and other classics, rang up today to check my renewal price in Jan having heard similar stories,to be told that they are NOT ABLE TO INSURE UNDER 25 year olds on classic policys from the start of the year, and after 5 years, would not be able to insure m...

Re: speedo accuracy??
ive just had a go at sorting this myself,my original speedo with 95k on it would over read by around 5-7mph.my ideal is 3mph fast,so i can drive with needle on the appropriate limit and be a few mph within the law. i tried another speedo of the same calibration that had seen less use,and brought it ...

Re: Ideas to attract new young blood into the MMOC
you do not need to be a member of the minor club to own and use a morris minor,so the club has to ask itself what can it do to make being a member a vital part of owning one?

Re: Brakes
how long is a piece of string?! it generally takes a few weeks to get used to driving any car that is new to you,if youve never driven a classic car before then it could take a lot longer.i would advise getting up early in the morning(say 6ish) and taking it out for a long ride, really get used...

Re: quick question-stem seals
right, fit the valves and springs, and the retainer, then apply your valve compressor.compress the spring as far as you can, insert the o ring and push down to the base of the retainer.then fit the collets, and slowly release the compressor, then totally release it.the collets trap the o ring between them...
