How do you know that the number hasnt been transferred? The DVLA website requires a number and a make before it tells you anything.
Is this info available somewhere else?/

1275/803 gearbox

I am going to treat Morris to a Midget 1275 engine / gearbox transplant.
He currently has a 948 gearbox with the rear half of an 803 box ie retains the long gearstick.
Can this same conversion be done with the midget gearbox?

Your thoughts gentlemen please!

I find that older (original?!) Morris owners seem to ignore me :(
Is it because they like so many old drivers, are completely oblivious to other vehicles on the road??

How to clean a K & N Air Filter

Hi all

I have a K & N Air Filter for Ugabugchugabug's car, it needs a clean. The instructions say to clean it in some special K & N Air Filter Cleaner.

This will no doubt be expensive, so whats the cheap alternative?

:D

Hi All

Many thanks for all your tips, the car for the time being has a standard SS exhaust and the old HS2 back on and she is running like a dream again, will ponder how to make the big bore fit nicely and also play about with the HS4 or the (Brand New!) Hif44 we have. :D

HS 4 carb set up

I have just spent a jolly afternoon fitting a 1 3/4" SS exhaust, Howley inlet manifold and HS4 carb to Mr Ugabugchugabug's '57 saloon, Muriel.
Not having had any previous experience with an HS4 carb, can anyone offer me some advice / tips on setting it up?

Thanks

Andy :)
