Re: Odd Metallic tapping noise - Sounds like a diesel
I had a very similar crank pulley on an anglia crack between the rivets, it sounded very similar. Yes I totally agree. My started with an unknown and could not find it annoying slight tick in the engine bay, then two months later while driving it sounded like a hay harvester under the bonnet. The c...

Re: Esm or bull motif
Hi from Australia Have only dealt with Bull Motif and GS Jones, and I have had absolute brilliant service from both of theses companies. Everything I have ordered has arrived here in Australia within 5 - 7 working days. A damn lot quicker and cheaper than locally sourced parts which can take up to 3...

My 1960 Morris Minor 1000 / 948cc is still all original as it was from the showroom and the pulley and blades are red. Hope this has helped.

Re: brake bleeding again
The brakes should be adjusted up before starting. I totally agree, this has to be done first. I renewed the whole brake system on my MM and was puzzled why the brake pedal was low even after doing a small adjustment. Then I realised the manual states the brake adjusters have to be adjusted so the s...

Re: Rear Door Window Replacement
Hi Tes 1
I just recently completed the assembly of my rear doors, you need to have the glass in the door cavity before installing the sealing strips. Unbolt everything relevant for the window to go below the sealing strips, when installed, guide the glass up to connect the regulator.

Re: my first minor, engine bay diagram?
Good idea Kevin. rcharman until you put the engine together you don't even know if there is anything missing, maybe it's all there. How about some pictures of the bits, and the engine as it stands? You'll need a gasket set for sure, but the manual for any four stroke petrol engine will give you the...

Hi from Australia I posted this on another thread. I used 25mm wide x 6mm thick (1 inch x 1/4 inch) single sided adhesive backed waterproof foam (specifically designed for the automotive industry. Advantages are it's not messy, 10 metre roll, compresses perfectly and can be shaped over any contours,...
