Re: Donington Historic Festival - May 1-3 2020
Confirmation yesterday that it is now off :( "New guidance was issued by government on Tuesday 6 April which contradicts the previous position that spectators would be permitted at non-elite sport events from Step Two of the roadmap (12 April onwards). Regrettably, that means the Donington Hist...

Re: Donington Historic Festival - May 1-3 2020
Oh no, I've just bought tickets. This is their statement from the 5th https://news.donington-park.co.uk/statement-5-march.aspx but I fear you may be right. I was due to be racing that weekend but it was pulled as the local council wouldn't grant a licence to hold the event until after the 17th. If i...

http://oi40.tinypic.com/5p1zpc.jpg If he sits in the front seat without any booster his head is just below the back of the seat, the seatbelt looks like its fitting across his shoulder OK. If he sits on a booster his head would be over the back of the chair which doesn't have any head rest. So you ...

Re: Mk2 rear axle
I have a Mk2 English axle under mine. More choices on ratio's, stronger halfshafts, limited slip diffs, brake upgrades and all at not too an excessive price. Also being 4 stud ford 108pcd Citroen, Peugeot and I believe some Saab & Audi wheels will fit. Go much above 200bhp though and you'll need...

Re: Retro Redesign of Morris Minor
re designs of old cars would be so much better if germans werent involved! I agree. Some of the new mini concepts like the Paceman & scooter are horrible and I think that the problem is that it's German interpretation of British style. That said this is probably as close to a new Minor you're g...

Re: Pedro, my 1970 morris minor (MODIFIED)
its ok cheers, i think im going to get some steel wheels banded :) Do you know about Citroen C5 steel wheels? I discovered that are actually alloys that look like steels. 15inch, 4 stud 108 pcd, ET18 and 4.7kg a wheel. They're fairly rare but may be worth hunting some down. I bought this set last w...

Does anyone know who did these amazing pieces and/or who to contact regarding them? They were done by Steve Kirk and were used in a Street Machine Magazine feature called Motorvation. There's a few more on here http://retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=74...

Re: satin, matt, or gloss black
I was going to do mine satin black until I started looking into it properly. I thought it wouldn't be a problem if it's just a temporary measure but then I knew it wouldn't be that temporary. With the blue base you could go for period race car look or do scallops and save yourself the hassle of a fu...

Re: Has the Custom Register Died????
May I make a suggestion. Rather than messing about with the National rally why not arrange an informal meet at a small circuit with good viewing for a Classic Saloon or Historic racing event and see who turns up. Seems obvious to me and it doesn't have to be circuit racing. There are plenty of event...

Re: satin, matt, or gloss black
Gloss
Matt or Satin have been done to death over the last few years, it'll also look **** after a few weeks and you'll end up wanting to paint it again properly.
