Hmm, my car does have them on a stalk but was expressly pointed out to me that they were not self cancelling when I got the car. My car was first registered in 1968 so I wonder....

Are there any upgrades/modifications that anyone knows about that will give me self cancelling indicators? Please help because I am annoying my fellow South London driv...

Oil Leaks - What is normal

I am used to modern cars so this will probably seem a very blonde question.

Is it normal for an old car to have a permanent oil leak? I am assuming not as gaskets should contain the engine oil within the block...

Lots of looks

Well been a Minor owner for less than a week now and been out and about in her as much as I can, Zafira is parked up unused right now! One thing I have noticed is the amount of people that look as I drive past. Mostly people of my parents generation being around late 60's early 70's, so I guess a bi...

I have water in the boot and cannot fathom where it might be coming from. Do minors have a typical area for this?

Any help and suggestions welcome

Hmmm, this is interesting. Maybe because I have jumped out of my Vauxhall and into this that they feel so non existant. I appreciate 40 plus years ago brakes were very different, but she feel like hse just wont stop.

What about disc brakes, would that help and is it possible?

Fitting servo brakes

Have literally just got my Minor 1000 and only driven her in the wet, yikes the brakes don't exist!

Is it a huge job to fit a servo to the brakes or what can be done to vastly improve them.

They were designed before the days of motorways and cannot really cope with prolonged bouts of 70mph much happier at 55-60mph. A good condition 1098 will... Though I prefer to cruise at about 60 unless I'm in a hurry because it's more comfortable and you get better fuel economy. I am not a speed fr...

Thanks guys for your comments. managed to scrounge a half day at work and popped off to see the car. £1750 later, she's mine. I am told the towbar never towed anything... and they have given me a month or 1000 miles warranty for what they are worth, lol! He is going to give me a 12 month MOT and get...
