Re: Brittany Ferries coronavirus cancellation + MOT 2020
Having had ferries cancelled by DFDS due to storms on the Dieppe crossing I can only say they were super-helpful on the phone about either switching to Calais, or rebooking at a later date, or an immediate refund on our debit card. On the DFDS website late May crossings are still on sale and not can...

Re: Brittany Ferries coronavirus cancellation + MOT 2020
Hello All It was to be our first MoT but not to be. We are pleased that the plan is to hold 2020 in 2021 and have asked that our registration/booking is rolled over. Like others we are waiting for Brittany Ferries to tell us we can't go and will ask for a cash refund. Here's to a better year next y...

Thank you, Directors, for your clear and informative statement.

Re: Spotted today.
Have just spent a week in Milton Keynes area, didn't see any Minors whatsoever (except ours, which we drove 600 miles to get there and 600 miles home).

Re: Coronavirus Update:
I was at the NEC yesterday, for Crufts. There was a lot of pre-show publicity about major sponsors telling their staff not to go but that didn't seem to affect the event at all. It looked as if a small number of trade stands had decided not to come and some competitors had pulled out but it was very...

Re: Period handbook
As it's wet and cool here your posts prompted me to do a bit of ebaying which I haven't done for ages, and with good results: two French language Morris Minor brochures which we haven't seen before purchased for our Club archives. Ianmack, if you want to note these down we have copies of: Operation ...

Re: Period handbook
Jagnut66 - all of our copies various, in English and in French from MM through to 1000 have the lubrication chart. SriVik, some of ours have the edition n° on the front cover, in some you find a date eg 11/54 printed in small characters on one of the pages at the back. Our French 1st edition 1000 ma...

Re: LED bulbs anyone?
OH has today fitted LEDs in my trav, bought on Amazon.fr for driving in France.
Boy are they BRIGHT in the garage! Haven't yet tested them night-time as it was still daylight when I came home.
Will get the alignment checked at our friendly local testing station and then report back.

Re: Currently drinking.....
Just booked the ferry to come to the UK in March (in a Moggie, of course), my first time in 4 years and first time since having to drink gluten free beer. I am looking forward to tasting some different non-lager type gf beers. Have heard there's nothing gf at the NEC at the bars though - pity, as I ...

Re: Almond Green Traveller FLD 457J
Hi Bryan I bought FLD 457J in Chelmsford in the summer of 1978 as a replacement for my first ever car, an Austin 1100 reg FLP 547J which I had been told would die sooner than later from terminal rust. I sold it before the rust showed when you looked for all the typical holey points! FLD was parked o...

Re: Almond Green Traveller FLD 457J
I could dig out a pic or two, but nothing showy. I bought the trav as a cheap motor in 1978, not knowing what fun owning a Minor would bring me when the Moggie cult took off. To me, and to many others back then, a Moggie was affordable insurable daily transport, why take a photo of it when photos co...

Almond Green Traveller FLD 457J
Hi
Does anybody own or know where FLD 457J is these days? I sold it in 1982.
It's on DVLA as being taxed, last logbook issued in 2012.
I would love to find out where it is now, and to see any pics.
If the owner is interested I can give them some history.
Thanks.

Thanks for the update.
These things are never easy to manage.
Is there a way you could perhaps pin a post somewhere appropriate about 'How the board works and who to contact'?
