Re: Add on Temp and Amp gauges?

Not mine I'm afraid (mines been in storage while I rode a bicycle around the world) Yes I believe my gauges were from an early 50s vanguard. The later black faced ones seem more common, but they are mechanically the same so you could swap everything over. The Speedo with trip meter also had the same...

Steering Wheel Woodruff Key

Yesterday i put the rack and suspension back in my minor, and then noticed i had some play in the steering that wasnt there before. hmm, no play in the rack, or any of the suspension. how strange, the play is inbetween the wheel and the column. I think this must be one of the very few parts of the c...

Re: VariFlow Dampers

i once saw some with added copper tubing and a valve inbetween the two cylinders so you could adjust the flow and therefore dampening inside the shocks. i dont think it ever caught on These ones look like you can adjust the pressure on the valves. which you could set up on the bench by adding a wash...

Re: Frontend geometry..upper suspension - advice?

In this case it would mean that the arm had been bent forward. Possible but unlikely. In my case at least the car is straight and solid, and measuring of all the dampers puts the difference solely in the odd arm The casting is definitely different, with a different profile where the arm mounts the s...

Re: Frontend geometry..upper suspension - advice?

This is an old thread, but the only with a similar issue to mine I am replacing the original 65 year old front dampers on my minor and have a set of recon ones There however is an issue with one of the arms being a different casting. it is a different profile and its slightly different shape is obvi...
