hi thanks for the complements yours looks great to. I am going to put a stripe on it havnt decided what colour yet. All the chrome has been re plated as it was in a teribble condition guy did a fantastic job of it , not cheap but fantastic job. Supose you get what you pay for

never had mine running as it the car was bought stripped with the engine on the back seat and the gearbox in the front footwell. So really looking forward after a 2 year rebuild to get it out on the open road again. Pic shows car at north lincs club rally body done but no engine / gearbox or interio...

All my con rods now back in the engine just got to refit the crank then the sump goes back on. All marks will then be hidden from view until the next rebuild. Could be a bit as according to the last bill when this goldseal engine was fitted that was 1962. Hope so anyway

It was owned by someone in S block at Morris cowley who still had it in 1962 when a goldseal engine was fitted by Morris Motors of Oxford. sidevalve con rod markings

hi im re building my sidevalve engine in my 1950 lowlight. On one of the conrods just above the cranckshaft bearing there is the german flag mark the other three all are marked sdf. Hi Ive just bought a new pair of the correct bonet hinges from ESM spares. Wasnt in luck with the boot hinges though im having to use minor 1000ones till I get mine re plated.

Hi David Thanks for the reply I am lucky in that respect all the frame work and the catches are in excellent condition but no rubbers came with the car that was all stripped into boxes when I bought it. I much prefer stripping the car myself but had no option withthis one as someone had already star...
