I think they were prone to getting loose on the posts as some people tapped them on before doing up screw which caused them to become loose. Many a time had to take off "helmet" (no rude comments please) :roll: and hit the side to make a better connection to the post

No rocker cover on side-valve engine.If you mean cover plate for tappet adjusters, mine is painted same colour as engine

I think you will have to make a bracket from rear lower edge of wheel arch to chassis to fit . A pic of the kit would confirm the actual type you have

Hi Thanks for asking. Yes put grease on screwdriver tip to replace cotters, its harder to fit the first cotter then swing around the back and fit second,the first screwdriver had slight magnetism which meant the cotter would not leave screwdriver tip so had to find another. Sorry they are for overhead valve not side valve engine, actually a bolt.

Thread size is 8 x 1.0 metric so yes could find bolts have them flattened and made thinner, but what hardening (hardened and tempered or case hardened)
