Re: Cornish Splitscreen Van Calling!

HI from not so sunny North Cornwall. If you see me around in Rosie, you can't miss us! I'm glad there's a few from this end of the world on here!

Re: Modded or standard

Mine is somewhere in the middle too, a slight modification on the paint job  and the interior colour but apart from that Rosie's standard. Oh and one side is lowered slightly (a mistake putting the torsion bar back in!). She will be getting disc brakes at some point, she needs some seat belts ...

I thought we were thinking pink??! Actually, I like the one with them both... maybe no steering wheel therefore no argument about who drives?

Re: HWV 145E Rosie 1967 2dr saloon

Thanks for clearing that up, not sure how Chris would feel about being my wife since he refuses at present to even be my husband  !! ANyway, AMAZING news, Rosie's now pink and I have plenty pics to update the progress since I last logged in but Chris is fed up of doing my stuff all day (ie spr...

It would make a cool T-shirt design and I'd buy one (in pink  ) if you went into production!

Re: Morris owners in North Devon / North Cornwall

Hi, yes me! I'm in Bude and until the end of summer I will be Moggie-less but I hope by 1st Sept she'll be back on the road. I find Exeter a bit of a trek too,Any alternatives? |Was there much interest?

Re: HWV 145E Rosie 1967 2dr saloon

Time for an update on how Rosie is doing. School holidays started so work started on her again. The first lot of primer was rubbed down and filler applied to the low points before she was ready for the next coat of filler primer: http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h184/dizzi141/Moggie/IMAG0138.jpg Th...

Way better than my first attempts. Mine were on the inner wings so they could be hidden! And purposely there are no pictures uploaded. So nice one!

The repair on the rear wheel arch: It took a lot of filling and rubbing to make it the right shape again. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h184/dizzi141/Moggie/IMAG0080-1.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h184/dizzi141/Moggie/CIMG0008-5-1.jpg After all the filling and rubbing down she finally g...

After shot blasting: (we decided that we didn't have enough time that day to do the lot and the rest of it wasn't as bad so we'd just leave it. Big mistake as I later had to strip all the paint off the roof) http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h184/dizzi141/Moggie/CIMG0007-2-1.jpg http://i64.photobuck...

HWV 145E Rosie 1967 2dr saloon

Right, finally I'm going to get around to uploading some pictures of my project. I'm really glad I took loads because when progress appears slow there's nothing better than looking how far she's come. I'm lucky that I work in a school and so get school holidays off. The bulk of what's done to date w...

Re: Some advice for a newbie please

Hi and welcome! I learnt to drive in a Moggie 6 years ago. Then she had to go to that place in the sky and I drove my new one recently after about 5 years of not driving one. I think I found it easier to drive initially when I was learning than when I went back after driving my very easy to drive Pa...

Re: Street Cred?

I'm one of those people: I tank along on the motorway in my Passat (which I do love to bits, 2.5 v6 tdi :D and effortless) but yes, as soon as I spot a Moggie I cruise along next to them grinning like a fool and waving.

We stripped the carpets out of mine and had a similar story, bad isn't it! Consequently I've spent the Easter holiday welding.

Re: another insurance query! (girls! .. and boys too.)

When I was 18 it was 400ish for me. 5 years on (it's not that long!!!) I've paid 114 for me and his lordship (27) both with licenses since 17 and no accidents/convictions in the last 5 years (although I got a ticket yesterday, bugga!)

Re: Membership contacts

Thanks guys for pointing me in that direction. The office number isn't much use as I don't finish work until 15.10 at earliest but usually 18.00 so I'm used to doing things by email these days if it requires contact during office hours. Work's real inconvenient when it gets in the way of what you wa...

Membership contacts

Hi,

I hope that the answer is not somewhere really obvious as I have looked, BUT, does anyone know how I can get in contact with Liz Saxon about membership? I need to modify a membership application I put in.

Many thanks, Lorna
